About Bunkerley
We're not doomsday preppers; we turn official UK advice into a plan for your home.
Bunkerley is a UK guide to being ready at home for the everyday emergencies that actually happen: power cuts, floods, storms, snow and ice, the water going off, and having to leave home quickly. Your home is your bunker, and it just needs a few sensible things in a cupboard.
What we do
- Our free tools turn official advice into something for your own home, starting with a household power cut plan.
- Every figure we show, from how much water to keep to which number to call, comes from an official UK source. Each one is listed with its source and the date we checked it. Read how we source our figures.
- We keep it calm. No scare stories, no countdowns, no kit you don't need.
What we don't do
- We don't test products, and we never say we have. Where we compare products, we compare published specs against official guidance and say what we compared them on.
- We don't give medical advice. If someone at home relies on medical equipment or care, we point you to the Priority Services Register, your equipment supplier and your GP.
- We don't size backup power. Our sister site Ferncharge compares portable power stations and checks how long they'd run your devices.
- We don't cover benefits or payments. For help with costs, see gov.uk.
How we make money
Some pages have affiliate links, marked Ad. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes what we recommend. Read our advertising disclosure.
Who we are
Bunkerley is written by the Bunkerley team. It's part of a small group of UK sites under shared ownership, including Ferncharge (portable power). When we link to a sister site, we say so.

Who runs Bunkerley
Editor: operator details go here once Jamie supplies OPERATOR_NAME, OPERATOR_ADDRESS and OPERATOR_EMAIL. Production builds refuse until then.
