Water and food
Official advice is to keep enough water and food at home to get by for a few days without shopping, cooking or mains water. It doesn't need to be a special pack: you can build it from your normal cupboard, a little at a time.
Our calculators use the official figures, show their sources, and round container counts up rather than down.
